The Alliance has adopted the following vision, mission and preferred future statements:
VISION: A viable natural environment
MISSION: To promote the sustainability of the Wichita region by facilitating collaboration and integrated solutions among individuals and organizations, and serving as a resource, catalyst and advocate for environmental, economic and social sustainability
PREFERRED FUTURES:
Transportation: To create a multimodal system that moves people and goods throughout the region with the most efficient use of economic and environmental resources.
Energy Efficiency: To maximize energy efficiency and sustain energy supply based on renewable and environmentally sound resources.
Water Quality: To establish reliable and plentiful water resources that maximize water conservation and assure optimum water quality.
Air Quality: To assure optimum air quality that has no negative impact on the health of humans, natural ecosystems, and economic development.
Solid Waste: To reduce, reuse and recycle solid waste.
Built Environment: A sustainable community developed through environmental consideration and energy efficiency.
