The Presidents of South Central Kansas colleges, universities, technical schools, community colleges and other accredited/certified education and training programs are working with Visioneering Wichita’s College Mecca Alliance and the south-central Kansas Workforce Alliance to mobilize the region’s higher education and business communities for collective action that advances regional economic development. A signing ceremony, bringing together the Presidents of these organizations, will be held Thursday, August 18 at 11:45 a.m. in the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce Board room.
The Presidents invite the business community to partner with them to promote the collaborative. Achieve Kansas is a common marketing and outreach plan designed to increase the number of academic and industry recognized post-secondary credentials earned by students and job seekers in the region.
“We live in a time of unprecedented economic change. More is required for south central Kansas to keep pace with the knowledge economy.
